Quintin married Grace Mary Paskell (1899 - 1993) daughter of William Paskell and Mary Burdin on 13 Jul 1929. Grace was born1 on 13 Oct 1899. She was employed as a Secretary.


Death

Quintin died2 on 24 Feb 1942 at sea, 200 miles SSE of Cape Race. His wife Grace died on 26 Oct 1993. She was born on the 13th, married on the 13th had 13 years of marriage before her husband Quintin died and she died just 13 days after her 94th birthday, in which 9 and 4 add up to 13!!!


His ship was the MV Anadara and this was believed to have been sunk by a U boats U558 and U587 on the 24th February 1942, 200 miles SSE of Cape Race. This info came from two books. The first is, Dictionary of Disasters At Sea During The Age Of Steam 1824-1962 by Charles Hocking F.L.A Published by The London Stamp exchange page 30 column 2 and the second book is he Allied Convoy System 1939-1945 by Arnold Hague Published by Vanwell Publishing Limited page 161 column 1
