1. Francis (Frank) Noel Beaumont Golder (1913 -1991)

Francis was born on 1 Oct 1913 in Taihape, New Zealand. Francis resided in 7 Hewer Cres, Naenae, Lower Hutt. He was the Wellington District Traffic Manager for New Zealand Railways.

Frank’s mother died when he was young and he was raised at Golders Cottage by his fathers sister Teresa. Later when Teresa was old the rolls were reversed and he took care of her and her needs until she died.

Frank’s birth certificate shows his name as Francis Noel Bomont Golder but there is a signed declaration on the rear that states "This is the certificate of date of birth referred to in the annexed declaration made by Francis Noel Beaumont Golder, this 5th day of September 1939, before me - signed Justice of the Peace, Postmaster, Mamaku". He was always referred to as "FNB".

Marriage

Francis married Lucia (Lucy) Mary Warner (1913 - 1979) daughter of Peter Edward Warner and Mary Agnes Pope on 1 Mar 1938. Lucia was born on 25 Mar 1913 in Wellington, New Zealand

Lucy’s parents were Peter (Nugget) Warner and Mary Agnes Pope. Lucy had one sister named Genevieve who died in 2006 at the age of 91. There were also two other brothers that were stillborn and another sister named Molly who died at 11 months. The names of the brothers are unknown.

Lucy was a great enthusiast and supporter of her children endeavours - daughters in ballet, piano and diving and sonsin sports - swimming, diving, softball, soccer and rugby. She was an excellent dressmaker and made many wedding dresses and ballgowns etc. She also knitted many scarfs for various sports teams in particular softball, soccer and rugby.

Death

Frank died at home suddenly on 13 Jul 1991 in Naenae, Lower Hutt, New Zealand. He was buried in Taita Cemetery, Lower Hutt, New Zealand.

His wife Lucia died in the Hutt Hospital on 30 Oct 1979 in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Reason - cerebrovascular accident and hypertension. They are both buried together at Taita Lawn Cemetery, Naenae, Lower Hutt.
